Purpose of processing
When you sign up, we store your email address for the waitlist and your notification when quote requests open. Your signup confirmation appears on this page. We also store a signup identifier, the time, the campaign identifier from the link, whether a price was displayed, your IP address from the first entry in the header supplied by the hosting service, and your full browser identifier (User-Agent), where these headers are present. The technical data helps exclude automated and internal signups from the assessment of demand. Joining the waitlist does not send a request or contact details to installers. Any later sharing requires your separate explicit confirmation.
Visitor counting without cookies
Visits to the German or English home page through links with utm_source or fbclid trigger visitor counting independently of your cookie choice. The server sends the IP address from the first entry in the header supplied by the hosting service, the full User-Agent, the page identifier and, if present in the link, the campaign identifier src and a technical verification identifier verification_marker to Convex. Prefetches, recognised bots and visits without an IP address or User-Agent are excluded. Convex checks the counting rules and time window and uses a secret random value that changes daily to create SHA-256 verification hashes from the day, page identifier and IP address, and additionally from the browser family derived from the User-Agent. The two verification hashes, page identifier, day and receipt time are stored, along with aggregated daily counters. The raw IP address and full User-Agent are used only during processing for this count and are not stored in counter records; src and verification_marker are not stored there either. The secret random value is scheduled for deletion at the UTC day boundary. No cookies are set. Repeat visits are filtered using the verification hashes; at most three browser families per IP address are counted each day.
Legal basis
Your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR is the basis for waitlist signup and your email notification when quote requests open. You can withdraw it at any time with future effect using the contact address above. Consent does not include sharing details with installers. Optional analytics and advertising cookies are used only with your consent.
We process technical signup data and visitor counting without cookies on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is an assessment of demand adjusted for automated and internal visits and signups, as well as repeat visits. Technical error reporting serves our legitimate interest in a reliably functioning service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Service providers
This page uses the following service providers:
- Vercel: hosts this website.
- Convex: stores signup data and processes data sent to the visitor counter; counter records contain only the described verification hashes and count data.
- Meta: intended for optional advertising measurement after your consent; the current page does not yet load a measurement script for this.
- PostHog: intended for optional analytics after your consent; the current page does not yet load an analytics script for this.
- Resend: sends your email notification when quote requests open. Submitting the form does not send a confirmation email.
- Sentry: receives error types and messages, timestamps, event identifiers and technical identifiers for the page, error path and software version to fix technical errors. Browser errors are sent directly from your browser independently of your cookie choice; Sentry also receives your IP address and browser identifier as connection data. Signup error messages are sent from the server. Error text may contain data carried by the triggering error; the form is not sent to Sentry as a separate record.
Some of the service providers named above are based in the USA. Using them may involve processing personal data in third countries. Information about the transfer safeguards agreed for the specific processing is available through the contact address above.
Storage and deletion
Data is stored for as long as required for the assessment of demand and sending your notification when quote requests open. Counter data is used to assess the relevant advertising period. Scheduled automatic deletion of signup and counter data is currently not configured. You can request deletion or withdraw your consent using the contact address above. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to object. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
